Hello every one! This is Brandon, and I just would like to say hello to every one, and Introduce myself a little. I am a foreign exchange student here at Tohoku and will be here for one year. I am very excited that I have the opportunity to participate in your guys's club activities! I love to ski, and like most of you guys I started when I was very young. I am very happy and excited to meet all of you. I look forward to skiing with you all!
Today Myself, Mizuki, Keita and Mutai went to Minowa in the Fukashima Prefecture to ski! It was nice to finally get out of Sendai! The car ride felt short to me, because the conversations in the car were a lot of fun. We talked about smash brothers, and was surprised to find out that the Ski team loved to play Smash Brothers. I love to play Smash Brother as we'll. My favorite character is Samus. I rented my ski equipment once I reached Minowa. It has been awhile since I skied, so it felt good to walk around in ski boots again. In japan lift tickets are placed inside special pockets built into the ski coats, but in America the Lift tickets are sticker that go over your coat zipper, so when I went to get on the ski lift, I didn't know where to put my ski ticket, until Mizuki, Keita and Mutai showed me. The skiing was a lot of fun. We took a Luch break at noon, and found a place on the ground to eat our lunch out side. Myself, Mizuki and Mutai eat our pre made lunches, but Keita made ramen out side on the ski slope with a portable gas burner. His ramen was very good. I enjoyed a mid afternoon beer that I got for free earlier that morning while I ate some sandwiches. Towards the end of the day, we all tried one leg skiing. It was my first time to ski with only one leg. It was difficult but very exciting. The only problem I had was figuring out how to stop. I ended up going too fast, and I didn't know how to stop, so I crashed and ate snow! lol towards the end of the run I ended up getting the hang of it. Skiing with only one ski was very fun. I will have to try it again next time we go skiing. The snow started to melt towards the end of the day, so our best skiing was done in the morning. I am looking forward to going to a bigger ski mountain with you guys, so Hokaido and Akita will be even more fun!
